Case study site stats from Jan to April
Written by June Beezy on May 11, 2008 – 6:29 pm -Okay guys, here are the traffic stats for our case study site.

As you can see it’s increasing every month. Now the great thing is I did some article marketing and the next month traffic looks way better (At least the increase in percentage). Looks like another few months and I’m reaching critical mass (As far as traffic is concerned).
Traffic is great but what about the sales?
1. As you know I was also selling the Home Booze Kit on eBay (Also using it to build my list) and due to late shipment was suspended - well apparently they are giving me a hard time to get back on there. So that is still something I’m working on by emailing them my tracking numbers for all the past shipments - I mean what else do you need right?
2. Sales on the site weren’t looking that good suddenly so I decided to do something - TAKE ACTION! I sent out a survey (Using a free poll from Bravenet) asking people what is stopping you from buying the Home Booze Kit?
See instead of sitting around and feeling sad like a little bitch - I decided to do something about it.
Below are the results:

60% of people are getting confused. They don’t know what the Home Booze Kit is or how it really works.
So I whipped up a really thorough sales copy - took the hype out of it and made it so it makes sense to people. Next day I got a sale again and than again - so it shows that it works right off the bat!
Lesson is if your product works, make sure your copy is right. If your sales are low, contact your customers and ask them how you can improve your site and what is stopping them from taking action. Don’t let anything stop you if you believe in your product.
Salescopy conversion is at 2% but returning visitors increased to 14% which is nice - shows I’m doing the right thing.
I might even change the layout of my newsletter and just the overall info and structure - I think I’ll make it as clear as possible for people to understand what I’m selling - that will be the next step for me.
A confused buyer will NEVER take action.
So just thought I’d give you guys an update - I’ve been busy promoting a client’s site (Taking over that niche) and trying out some new services in the process.
I’ll be doing a review for a backlink / advertising service called TNX that is actually generating a lot of buzz and they invited me to try their services out.
Backlinks are the key for top ten rankings - if you’ve been following my case study, you already know.
Until next time . . .
