7 days till I’m back KILLING it on eBay

Hottest eBay Categories Free eBook

Hey y’all!

Just checked that it’s 7 more days than I can sell on eBay again. I recently got suspended because my shipments were falling behind and naturally a lot of people requested refunds. I will still ship to all of them and I don’t care if they pay me. I believe I lost about 11 X 12.97 dollars.

Even a couple negative feedback on ebay can screw your business up but you live and learn. Plus I have over 800 feedbacks so its all good.

Lesson is to ALWAYS provide tracking numbers. I’m going to be using Canada Post with tracking now. No problemo!

Now . . .

I’m going to drop the price of the product on my website, and get back to building my list through ebay.

Not because I want to match the exact price I was selling it on eBay (People go to ebay for bargains that is why I originally sold my ‘Home Booze Kit’ for just $12.97), but because my sales dropped a lot even AFTER my autoresponders. People were visiting but weren’t taking action - because the price was too high for them - and some minor lack or credibility and other factors which I’m still working on to increase conversion.

Plus in these 30 days, I’ve been generating some decent traffic (1500 visitors a month) and more importantly, got my shipping and pretty much lots of things figured out on the website too (Free information, testimonials, FAQs etc).

This also gave me time to really improve my sales letter - I’m currently getting 5-8 leads a day. I expect to double that or more when eBay gets started.

Unique product + eBay + Website = Really good money!

Let’s do some math . . .

Originally, I was making about 2-3 sales a day just off ebay.

With my website and eBay working together, if I can generate a minimum 10 sales a day (Looking better than 10 actually once my feedback rating goes up), that is:

12.97 X 10 = $129.7 a day!

or $3891 a month!

Would you consider that a full-time business? Well . . . I would be happy once that number goes over 10gz a month but that would be a nice start :)

Let the slaughter BEGIN!

I’ll keep you posted :) - can’t wait!

PS: Keep in mind I started this hardly 4 months ago :) - you better sign up to my newsletter if you know what is good for you!

Secret to UNLIMITED relevant content!

Written by June Beezy on April 13, 2008 – 7:18 am -

I was recently having some trouble coming up with content for my case study. After all, new relevant content creates serps and serps create traffic and lots of it. The problem wasn’t writer’s block, I just didn’t know what else to write about - I mean I needed fresh stuff and more importantly exciting ideas. Ideas that will motivate me to write. Than I came  up with the ultimate discovery - my very own public library.

Here is a little trick - you want unlimited content? Go to your library, get some books on your niche, and simply paraphrase your articles! This was the best thing that has ever happened to me! And now I’m writing articles, coming up with new recipe ideas for my case study and more importantly, it shows me what kind of information my ‘target market’ is interested in or would be interested in.

Go to your library now and get some books on your niche! Make sure you re-write that article completely in your own words.

Website Testing is annoying but Necessary!

Website Testing is annoying but Necessary!

So for this month, I’m going to be heavily working on my traffic for my case study. Since I started making a few sales here and there (Mind you since I jacked up my price, my product has been selling very slow - a sign?), more traffic will give me a better idea on what I really need to work on for my site.

So far, this is what I’ve come up with:

  • I need a BBB logo to boost credibility: Since I’m selling a brand new product and a  brand new idea, people (first time visitors) are very sceptical. So that is going to take a some weeks - hopefully sooner.
  • I definitely need to add more ‘credibility’ and content on my salesletter. Believe it or not, my salescopy is short. People are reading it for 9 minutes, but they are not taking action. I think my price point is too high but I will only change that after I get my BBB license because I don’t want to de-value my product. Still, more content is required I think.
  • More content overall on site: After asking my current customers, they seem to like recipes a lot, another great reason to get return visitors. So I created a area dedicated to recipes. However, I need to add a lot more recipes than I currently have to gain more ‘credibility’. Bottom line: more content. Lesson here is get in touch with your existing customers and give them what they want.

See making money on the internet is easy - but creating a business is hard work. I’ve made money online and still do but with this case study, I want a BUSINESS! That is why I’m spending so much time testing little things to increase conversions. But don’t get it twisted, I’m still building traffic but slower than I usually do. You have to do both.

As soon as I get on eBay within the next few days (After my suspension for late shipments is over) I’m jumping back on and and building my list and overall traffic even faster - much faster.

But STILL I’m going to be testing EVERYTHING! It’ll be worth it at the end and I hope you are still around to see it for yourself.

As I mentioned, my conversion rate is at 4% from Search engine traffic. If I was getting 1000 visitors a day, that would be 40 sales or over $700 a day. You do the math :)

Why am I doing this case study? I feel like I’m doing this more for myself than just to show people I know my IM Stuff. And I guess this way if I slack off, you can tell me about it :) - I want people to see its possible for anyone to make money on the internet - its just hard work.

Stay along for the ride alright!

PS: It doesn’t take 90 days to build an online empire like the gurus would want you to believe. Trust me, I use to work for one of the best ones :)
