8 unknown strategies to build your sales using email
Message from WDclub.com: "PRACTICE BEING GRATEFUL"
How long has it been since you your e-mails that your send out to your customer list?
Half a year? Has it been twelve months, longer? NEVER? Now is the time for a review, because even though it isn’t the most recent, greatest technology, E-mails are still extremely effective. That hasn’t changed but the way you use them or view them has gone through a natural period of evolution.
The big change is thanks to portable devices, ow over 50% your emails are now being viewed on a cellular phone instead of a regular PC and this trend will continue to grow! Mix this with the undeniable fact that all of us are peppered by so many e-mails, we all have to be selective on which emails are opened.
Have you prepared for this change? For most companies, the answer is no.
What most people or businesses are doing is still sending boring old messages and subject lines such as “Here is what we’re doing now” or “Here is our feature of the week” e-mails. No wonder these emails are not even being read.
To maintain, grow and profit from your list, all it takes is a little creativity. Ask yourself if your shopper would be attracted by your e-mail and its title. Like all marketing, it must have benefit to them, not another feature of the business.
For your buyer to open your emails, you must think like your customers and ask WIIFM “What is in it for me!
So here are 1 or 2 seldom used techniques to profit from email marketing.
1. Use pdf attachments.
What if your business has a listing of services? Though you suspect your customers know all the things that you do, they don’t.
You could send out this list with an offer or promotion on new services. They could print and have available at any time.
*Some email filters can block attachments so it might also be a smart idea to list the contents within the email also.
*When sending attachments of any sort, realize your open rates will be less because a few of the people are hesitant to open any e-mails with attachments. This strategy is best on after 1 or 2 emails and your clients trust you.
2. Offer polls.
Everybody likes to offer their viewpoint. Email can be set up to have your clients vote on a poll of your choice by clicking a simple tab. You then use the information to your advantage
3. Offer Surveys
Like above but in greater detail. Thinking about launching a new service. Why not find out if your clients really need it and would actually use it?
4. Offer contests
What if you sent out an email with a telephone number that when they called went to a recorded message describing the contest. They listened to the message about your new service or product first and then were entered in the competition. You had a drawing for the winner of all who called.
5. Refer new clients
Are you offering incentives to your existing clients if they refer you new business.
6. Video emails
Are you offering links in your e-mail to your videos? Many folks prefer video to text.
7. Send promotion codes
If you sell online, you most likely have the capacity to accept promo vouchers for discounts. Use these and watch sale explode.
8. Consider that your e-mail will be read on a cell phone.
Try and keep it straightforward and short and to the point.
These are just a few recommendations, remember with a little creativeness email selling is still very, very dynamic.
I’m hoping these fast tips are useful. Good luck on your next e-mail.
