A friend of mine (who recently moved to mexico that lucky %$%# - but he deserves it) got over 50,000+ backlinks for this site he was working for.

It took him just about 9 months to get it to 30,000+ so I was like man how did you do this?

(And I thought I was the king of backlinks lol)

He suggested the following two things:

1. Article Post Robot
2. Press Releases with anchor text

So just 3 days ago I purchased Article Post Robot. I wanted to try this for the longest time since he recommended to me but never got around it.

Well check this out . . .

You can submit your articles with your signature and anchor text to over 600+ sites.

Plus a lot of these site ’syndicate’ or move and pass your article around through giant RSS
networks.

So when these sites pick your articles up, that is when you backlinks start going viral.

Same idea with press releases.

I’ve used PRWeb for that but I never tried the SEO Version of it.

That will be my next step.

So after trying article submitter pro, and submitting to about 40-60 article sites,
My article got listed the very next day with two sites!

That is two links with anchor text - NICE!

Considering I saw results the very next day kicks butt.

I’ll update this post after a week or two to tell you how this backlink strategy
is working.

A lot of people stress other benefits of article marketing such as pre-selling
and increase traffic from these article content sites.

But I don’t really care about that now as I just want backlinks from this software - and looks like Article Post Robot is definitely doing its thing.

Here is site that will give you demographics and other data for any site you choose - including your competitiors.

Quantcast is almost a year old and they are growing like crazy thanks to their free information on websites.

This is how it works:

1. Enter the url of your competition

2. It will then show you a whole lot of data such as keywords, their target market and all that.

You can ‘quantify’ your site and in the next two days you will start getting stats too. I use it to identify what my target market wants and what other similar sites are doing.It even shows you the keywords people are typing on their sites. For example, the free stats are for a site called centerpointe.com

My personal favorite is the demographics - male and female part. This is huge and shows you who you should market too. Love it!

Quantcast is another free market research tool that you should be using. Their stats might not be 100% accurate but its a great way to learn about your own market and competition.

Every once in a while I visit associateprograms. This is a story of a ‘normal’ guy doing it big on the internet and he’s been doing it for 10 years.

Just a great place to learn about marketing on the internet. Although its more focused towards ‘affiliates and affiliate programs’ - the basics of marketing on the internet still remain the same and that is what Allan talks about in great detail.
