1000 vs 100

1000 vs 100 Targeted Traffic

This what people cry about after getting a website,

“How do I get traffic?”

TRAFFIC TRAFFIC TRAFFIC!

Boy is this an issue or what.

First thing you need to do is stop paying any of those companies who promise to send you 10,000 hits for a certain amount of money.

And here is why:

You don’t need traffic, you need TARGETED traffic.

Lets say I wanted to purchase a digital camera.

I would NEVER EVER, type in ‘digital camera’ on google and than search through.

I would type in either the model number or the manufacturer name with the word digital camera.

example: canon digital camera

Why?

Because people who buy stuff online, or take action to make purchase, their search terms are very targeted.

Just look at the way you search for things when you actually decide to ‘BUY’ it.

Something like: ‘Digital camera for cheap 5mega pixels’.

You might not get that many people typing this keyword, but this is a very targeted keyword which is most likely to result in a sale.

And since most people are not typing it, its easier to get on top of the search engines for that ‘targeted keyword’.

You like that:)

Now ofcourse there are people typing in the term ‘digital camera’.

And yes there are a lot of traffic that comes from it, BUT

These people could be looking for pictures, or just reviews of digital cameras or bottom line, they are just browsing.

So the lesson is: find targeted keywords, with less competition and optimize your site for it.

And remember, 100 ‘targeted’ people will result in more sales then 1000 ordinary people.

So find and concentrate on getting ‘targeted’ traffic and watch your visitors convert to sales like the pros.

If you are dropshipping a product such as baby clothes through your website, concentrate on finding keywords related to different kind of baby clothes and cover the crap out of that market.

To find such targeted keywords and learn more, check out this FREE eBook. I use wordtracker to find all my targeted keywords and this ebook put me on the right track.

No Dropshipping Business Without Backend Marketing

Written by June Beezy on October 22, 2007 – 2:37 pm -

No Dropshipping Business Without Backend Marketing

The late Corey Rudl and Bill Harris of Centerpointe (A 12+ million dollar company) said that without backend marketing, you are literally committing suicide.

Same goes for when you are dropshipping. After you dropship your first product to your customer, don’t forget to implement a solid backend strategy.

Backend marketing is selling again to your customer after they purchase the initial product. Here is an article that will give you more insight and many ways of providing backend products.

The idea is  . . . Lets say you drop-shipped a bath towel successfully. Then contact the customer regularly for other relevant products such as soaps or bath accessories that you can drop ship to them. This is called creating repeat business and repeat business will always keep you in business.

Remember, once you make that initial sale, it means your customer has given you their ‘trust’.

Recommend products from then on that will help them out further and at the same time increase your bottom line!

How To Contact PayPal

Written by June Beezy on October 21, 2007 – 11:13 pm -

Now dropshipping on ebay and using PayPal to process payments can be awesome. In fact, I have almost 800 feedbacks just selling informational products (passion2profits is my ebay id), plus over 600 transactions with Paypal alone.

PayPal Hidden Phone Numbers

How To Contact PayPal

But sometimes, when I wanted to contact paypal for some disputes, I just couldn’t get a hold of them.

You go to ebay and they tell you to contact paypal, but how?

NOTE:
For people not sure, ebay and paypal are same companies but unfortunately their support isn’t together . . . weird . . .

So how do you resolve your Paypal issues? By giving them an ‘old fashioned’ call!

Click HERE to view all their numbers so you can contact them through phone.

This is how I contact them when I have an occasional odd problem with them.

PS: I like Paypal, but their customer support can really use some improvements. Automatic KANA (Software they use) messages don’t solve much. I hope eBay and especially Paypal improve their customer support - especially to basic and new users.

PPS: I like Paypal and still think its the BEST way to send and receive online payments. I still use them and will continue to do so.

Yes their has been a lot of horror stories but its a small drop in a bucket when you compare their 120+ million members. Just being real folks :)
